Marv Herzog European Favorites

Marv Herzog's twenty-ninth recording in 1993 features songs that are popular in Germany today as well as a few old standards. "Steirer Men San Very Good" and "Bier Bauch Polka" are modern day songs while "Lili Marlene" and "Wiener Blut" date to a much earlier era. Marv is the featured vocalist on this recording, lending his distinctive voice to this fine selection of German songs. The album cover depicts Marv and the band on stage in front of a mural at Blob's Park, a German themed ballroom in Jessup, Maryland, where the band would perform several times a year. Pictured are Marv with his cordovox on the left, guitar player Clint Herzog, drummer Dave Burner, and lead guitar player Tom Darling.
