Marv Herzog International Album

$13.99

Marv Herzog's twenty-seventh recording in 1991 was recorded at the same time as Home On The Range, but instead of country songs, this album features a little bit of many cultures. A German song "Die Glocken Der Heimat", a Polish song "Zosia", an Irish medley of waltzes, polkas such as "Half A Dozen Reasons" and "The Second Week of Deercamp", a slow number "Sweet Nearness of You", a schottisch "Oh-Ho, Ah-Ha", a jitterbug "In The Mood", and the "Seven Step" are showcased together to give listeners a broad range of musical styles. The album cover depicts a Steinbeck Nutcracker and Beer Stein from Germany, a Guinness Beer Mug from Ireland, hand painted Easter eggs from Poland, carved wooden shoes, and a deer plaque and they look as good together as the songs sound together on this selection.
