Marv Herzog's thirteenth recording in 1978 was recorded the same time as Marv Herzog Country and features the same style but predominantly German, whereas the Country album featured all English songs. The English numbers on this album are "La Paloma Blanca" sung by guitar player Bob Spletzer and "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain" sung by Marv. The German songs were some instrumentals and the vocals featured songs such as "Schuetzenliesel" sung by Marv and "Seeman" sung by Marv's first wife, Margie. The album cover depicts Marv and the band with rifles ready for the Schuetzenfest. They are drummer Ted Lubaczewski on the left, guitar player Bob Spletzer, Cordovox player Marv Herzog, and bass guitar player Tom Parrett. The Schuetzenfest, or shooting fest, is a popular function held throughout Germany that begins on a Friday and lasts through Sunday, until a Schuetzen Koenig (Shooting King) is proclaimed through a process of elimination.
