Marv Herzog's Alpine Holiday

$13.99

Marv Herzog's fifteenth recording in 1980 features an added sound: a concertina played by Dan Witucki, a young man from Minnesota. Marv's band had always consisted of him on the cordovox, a bass guitar, a lead or rhythm guitar and drums. Marv and Dan were a good complement to each other in their style of music and this is evident in songs such as "Dance Hall Polka" and "Echo In The Hills". The album cover depicts various scenes throughout the alpine region of Europe, predominantly in Germany and Austria. Marv would travel with the band and a group of fans on tours every September and his wife, Teresa, continues to sponsor groups for these European adventures.
